Secara garis besar, Eternal Grace mengisahkan tokoh wanita bernama Millia yang menyewa seorang bodyguard bernama Razh untuk mencari dan mendapatkan kristal Sphrenite di gua terdalam bernama Hollow Cave. Sedemikian pentingnya arti kristal Sphrenite, karena akan digunakan sebagai bahan pembuatan senjata untuk mengalahkan penguasa angkara yang menyulut api peperangan dan yang gemar mengorbankan orang-orang tak berdosa.

Dalam permainan, pengguna dapat berganti-ganti karakter antara Razh dan Millia sesuai dengan jenis penghalang yang tampil dan jenis kekuatan yang diperlukan. Jika sampai salah satu karakter jagoan tersebut kehabisan nyawa (spiritual points), karakter jagoan yang sedang aktif/masih hidup harus keluar dari gua, berbicara dengan kristal ajaib. Tujuannya, memohon agar temannya dihidupkan kembali dengan kewajiban membayar sejumlah mata uang Kelos. Perjuangan di arena pertarungan dalam gua menghadapi para makhluk dan benda penghalang pun dilanjutkan.
